Ken Tratar has been in the Computer Business for 36 years. His roots are technical in nature having designed, programmed and managed environments dating back to IBM's 1401 and 360 Series Computers.

Except for a stint in the Air Force in the 60's, he stayed on the technical side of the business spending his last purely technical involvement with Honeywell as a SE and SE Manager in the late 60's. It was at that time that a very astute branch manager suggested that since he outtalked the Account Representative (salesman) on a sales call that maybe he should be one. His response was that he didn't think so, being that he was honest and couldn't sell a Honeywell system in good faith. Well, the Branch Manager made him a deal he couldn't refuse and he's never looked back.

He has used his accounting degree, the work ethic and sense of responsibility he inherited from a strong loving Blue Collar upbringing, his technical detective and management skills, an inherent desire to really help people and a positive forward thinking view of life and carved out a successful career in Computer Sales, Consulting and Management.

His forte has always been to deliver products or services that were leading edge both technically and philosophically. He founded and manages as CEO a successful computer company, Storage 2000, Inc., specializing in complex high-end disk array products and consulting.

He isn't comfortable if he's not on the front lines.
